Nate Hopper has been working at Sea-Mountain since 2014. In honor of his upcoming wedding, this month, let’s take an opportunity to get to know Nate a little better!

Tell us about your upcoming wedding!

It will be a small wedding due to the pandemic with only immediate family members. My brother Jordan who also works at SMI, will be officiating. We plan to have a large gathering in 2021 to celebrate with everyone!

What does your workspace look like while you work from home?

I have a desk, laptop, monitor, mouse and keyboard, and plenty of cat hair.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I like to try and not lose in fantasy football. Lately, due to social distancing, some friends and I connect by playing Call of Duty together. That would be more enjoyable if I were any good!

Are you more of a cat person or a dog person?

My fiancé and I have one dog and two cats, so we like both.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?

Bruce Lee

What do you consider to be the most excellent game in history?

Mario Kart 64

What inspires you?

I like to try to be better than I was yesterday.

What’s been one of your proudest moments working at Sea-Mountain?

My co-worker and Cathy and I ran the personal lines department just the two of us for 2-3 months while looking for a new team member. That was a hard time, but with good communication and teamwork, we thrived during that time.
